Lisa Jo Spencer founded Lisa Jo Spencer, PA in January 2014 after being a shareholder and founding member of another law firm. She is a graduate of Milligan College in Carter County, Tennessee where she majored in Business Administration. She received her law degree from Stetson University College of Law in 1993. After graduating from Stetson, Lisa Jo served on active duty in the United States Air Force, where she was part of the Judge Advocate General’s Corps. After leaving active duty, Lisa Jo was an Assistant State Attorney for the First Judicial Circuit in Okaloosa County, Florida. While there she served as a prosecutor specializing in Crimes Against Children. She remained in the Air Force Reserve, holding the rank of Major, until 2005. She is active in numerous civic and community organizations, including serving on the Board of The Arc of the Emerald Coast, founding member and Secretary of Community Solutions of the Emerald Coast, the board for The Okaloosa Walton Continuum of Care, inducted into the Okaloosa County Women’s Hall of Fame in 2015. She also served on the Board of Trustees for the Fort Walton Beach Medical Center, a past Director for Crossroads Center Medical Clinic, a past president of American Business Women’s Association, Emerald Coast Chapter, and was selected their 2009 Woman of the Year, a past member of the Okaloosa County Commission on the Status of Women. She is an active member of the Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce, having served as the Chair of the Board in 2011. Lisa Jo was appointed by the Chief Circuit Judge of the First Judicial Circuit to serve as a member of the Canvassing Board for Okaloosa County for the 2008 Elections. Lisa Jo is also a member of the FWB Mardi Gras Club.
