Evelyn I. Suero, Esq. is a corporate law attorney based in Miami, Florida and the Principal of Suero Law, PLLC. Ms. Suero provides clients with a full range of corporate legal support from organizing new ventures to providing documentation and advice on corporate governance matters. Ms. Suero has experience in corporate origination, regulatory compliance, dissolutions, and mergers and acquisitions involving both domestic and foreign companies. In these transactions, Ms. Suero has negotiated, drafted, and executed a wide variety of transactional, governance, and employment agreements including, asset and stock purchase agreements, joint venture agreements, and non-competition agreements. She has also provided her clients with guidance on capital structure and investment matters as well as the financing agreements in support of transactions. In support of both domestic and international clients’ operational business plans and growth strategies, Ms. Suero has negotiated, drafted, and executed licensing, distribution, supply, and franchise agreements. In addition to advising clients in business transactions, her practice involves the analysis and interpretation of laws, rulings, and regulations to determine the best outcome for clients.
Prior to establishing Suero Law, PLLC, Ms. Suero worked as an attorney focusing on corporate law, international business transactions, asset protection, probate law, and wealth management matters. In this capacity, Ms. Suero gained significant experience representing individual and corporate clients through all phases of business investment, protection, and growth.
In addition to her formal practice areas, Ms. Suero is very active in the community. She is a Vice Chair of the Miami-Dade County Hispanic Affairs Advisory Board (HAAB), IBWOY Chair of the Organization of Women in International Trade (OWIT-S.Fla.), and a Director for the Miami-Dade Florida Association for Women Lawyers (MDFAWL). She also contributes pro bono time to Dade County Legal Aid and the Venture Law Project which provides free legal assistance to entrepreneurs and start-up ventures, enabling them to launch their dreams.
Ms. Suero is originally from New York City, New York. She is bilingual in written and oral English and Spanish. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Swarthmore College and a juris doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania Law School where she served as associate editor of the Journal of Law & Social Change and participated in the Income Tax Clinic.
