Isabel Yague focuses her practice on franchise and distribution law, franchise law compliance, business litigation and trade regulation. Additionally, Ms. Yague practices in the areas of insurance, real estate, and advertisement law, corporate governance, complex business transactions, construction and transportation law, as well as immigration law. As In-House Counsel for the U.S. and Latin American corporate headquarters of 100 Montaditos, Ms. Yague, drafted and negotiated franchise and brand reservation agreements, letters of intent, area development agreements, master franchise agreements, vendor and distribution agreements, covenants not to compete, and leases and subleases for franchise units located in the U.S. and Latin America. Additionally, Ms. Yague ensured company’s compliance with federal and state franchise and franchisor disclosure laws. Ms. Yague provides franchise, compliance, corporate governance, and general business legal advice to franchisors and franchisees from the start of the franchise relationship, including the initial negotiations of a franchise agreement, entity formation and trademark registration, through the termination of the franchise relationship. Ms. Yague prepares, reviews, updates, and registers franchise disclosure documents for her clients throughout the United States. She ensures compliance with all federal and state-specific disclosure requirements and registration laws, and drafts all contracts necessary to protect the interests of her franchisor and franchisee clients. As a former In-House Counsel for the international restaurant chain 100 Montaditos; the leading provider of hair loss solutions Hair Club for Men; and an international construction company Dragados USA, Ms. Yague has extensive experience representing business and legal interests of her multinational corporate clients. Ms. Yague advised both large and small companies on all legal and compliance aspects of conducting business successfully in the United States, Canada, Spain, and Latin America. Before moving to Miami, Ms. Yague worked as a corporate attorney and third party liability underwriter at the Madrid headquarters of Mapfre Empresas, a global insurance company, where she drafted and negotiated insurance liability agreements containing products liability, general liability, workers' compensation, as well as medical and legal malpractice coverage for small and medium size businesses. Ms. Yague graduated from the Universidad Autnoma de Madrid School of Law in Madrid, Spain, with a double major in Law and Political Science. While attending the Universidad AutÃ³noma de Madrid, Ms. Yague was awarded an ERASMUS scholarship to study at Université Panthon-Sorbonne in Paris, France, for one academic year. A few years later, Ms. Yague earned a Juris Doctor degree from University of Miami School of Law. While studying at the University of Miami School of Law, Ms. Yague was a Secretary of the Mass Torts Litigation Society. Ms. Yague is admitted to practice law in Spain and the United States (Florida). Ms. Yague is fluent in English, Spanish, and French.
