I have practiced in the areas of family and probate law since 1993. As a family law attorney, I have handled both initial divorce actions as well as post-judgment matters. The Court has appointed me as Guardian Ad Litem in numerous high-conflict custody disputes. In 2006, the Eleventh Judicial Circuit awarded me the Ray H. Pearson Guardian Ad Litem Award. The Court has also appointed me as Intermediary in post-adoption cases when the adult adoptee seeks information about his/her birth family. I was able to facilitate reunions in many of those cases. I have also located adult adoptees for their birth families in private cases. Whether it is looking out for the minor children in court battles or assisting the adult children in finding out their stories, I particularly love to watch out for the children. My probate work is an extension of the family concerns, normally helping the children during their times of loss.
