Ms. Eagan is one of less than 200 attorneys that are Florida Bar Board Certified in Appellate Practice. She has focused on appellate practice her entire career. She graduated from University of Florida College of Law, with Honors, in 1988. Ms. Eagan has appeared in every Florida District Court of Appeal, the Florida supreme court, in the federal appellate courts, and in the civil circuit appellate divisions throughout Florida. In 2010, the president of The Florida Bar appointed Eagan to the Florida Bar Appellate Practice Board Certification Committee. As a member of that committee she participates in the lengthy and rigorous process of evaluating attorney applications, preparing the appellate certification exam, and in grading exams. She has also served by President's appointment on the Florida Bar Appellate Court Rules Committee, Vice Chair (2000-2006; 2008-2010) which prepares rules of procedure for appellate practice for the supreme court. Eagan served as Chair of the Orange County Bar Appellate Practice Committee; on the executive council of the Florida Bar Appellate Practice Section; and on the District Court of Appeal, Fifth District, Appellate Mediation Steering Committee. She is AV-preeminent rated (the top rating) by Martindale-Hubbell and is consistently named within the top 1% of Florida appellate lawyers by Thomsen-Reuters and Florida Trend Magazine. Eagan was President of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (2000-2001).
Ms. Eagan is a native Floridian based in the central Florida area. She appears in all Florida appellate courts throughout the state. In her spare time she advocates for conservation of Florida natural lands, and enjoys horseback riding, hiking, photography, travel, boating, jewelry making, and listening to live music.
