Helen Torres is originally from Staten Island, New York. She graduated from Temple University in 1997 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting. She attended Brooklyn Law School, and received her Juris Doctorate degree in June of 2000. She has over 15 years of litigation experience. Ms. Torres has represented clients in an array of legal proceedings including domestic violence, family law, landlord- tenant, foreclosure, bankruptcy and predatory lending cases. Ms. Torres is also a prior Assistant Attorney General for the State of Florida in the Children’s Legal Services Division where she represented the Florida Department of Children and Families in the civil prosecution of child abuse, abandonment and neglect cases and also litigated Termination of Parental Rights cases.
